Job Summary: 

The Engineering Program Director – PJP Programs is responsible for leading technical teams during new product development projects for the PJP (Plastic Jet Printing) product platform as well as directly contributing in a senior technical advisor capacity.

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop 3D Printing and additive manufacturing systems and take full responsibility for the entire platform from “cradle to grave”
  • Works with management to develop product requirements and technical specifications
  • In conjunction with the development team and outsource partners, develops detailed design specifications
  • Determine the project resource requirements, schedules, capital expenditure and other requirements
  • Manage the multi-disciplinary engineering resources as required to drive the project from the idea stage to the “completed product” stage by transitioning the product to production
  • Perform risk analysis, identify risk areas and develop alternate plans and/or risk mitigation measures
  • Work with appropriate technology managers within 3D and outsource partners to develop detailed schedules
  • Make significant technical contributions as a senior technical advisor while managing cross functional engineering teams and programs
  • Interface with all company departments as required to drive the project to completion
  • Present the plan to the company management and obtain any required approvals
  • Responsible for the transition to sustaining engineering of new products, supplier validation and selection, and regulatory certification activities
  • Responsible for managing Alpha/Beta testing, system integration, documentation and product launch
Qualifications: 

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Electro/Mechanical or Systems Engineering is required; M.Sc. in Engineering and/or Engineering Management is preferred

Experience:

  • 5-8 years’ experience in program management of technology products is desired
  • 8 years of direct experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams is required
  • 5 year experience direct contribution as a Sr. Electro/Mechanical Engineer
  • Past experience in managing projects in the areas of 2D or 3D printing products is a plus
  • Must have a proven track record as a direct contributor to complex new product development projects
