Job Summary: 

The Retail Channel Manager will manage and recruit retailers in a defined retail territory to achieve annual Consumer Solutions business unit’s overall offering revenue goals in retail chains.

Responsibilities: 
  • Meet 100% full year revenue performance plan; revenue plan can be delivered through retailers or direct sales where appropriate
  • Develop and execute regional marketing / business plan
  • Execute sales strategies for revenue growth and programs to maximize mind share within retailers’ organization 
  • Identify weak retailer sales areas then develop and implement corrective actions
  • Work with all resources available to develop individual retailer acquisition and retention plans for success
  • Provide accurate business forecasts in collaboration with assigned accounts and produce meaningful business analysis reports on a regular basis
  • Other job-related duties and responsibilities would include sales training, making sales calls, providing feedback to retailer management/ owners and responsible to internal request
  • Effectively manage expenses
  • Considerable travel will be involved
Qualifications: 

Education & Training:
Four year degree required

Experience:

  • Four years of territory sales experience with a proven track record of success in selling hardware and software products
  • Three years of successful retail channel sales experience, that includes both developing and management retailer companies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of various recruiting techniques and methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, presentation and verbal)
  • A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of and communicate new technology trends and possible application to real world projects
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office
  • Solid skills in planning and organization with an ability to plan and manage multiple projects
  • Self-motivator with strong work ethic 
  • Must have strong negotiation, analytical, business relationship, people management and strategic development skills
  • Experience in the areas of market data analysis, profitability analysis, and market research analysis and interpretation
  • Experience managing major accounts and working at multiple management levels
