Job Summary: 

The Sales Training Manager designs, plans, coordinates, directs and conducts sales training programs to equip 3D Systems and authorized channel partner sales personnel with professional, proven selling skills to drive improved sales efficiency and results

  • Research and become the internal expert on the most effective sales training resources, methods and selling techniques
  • Develop and/or acquire Professional Selling Skills training content/courses that optimally equip 3D Systems’ and Channel Partner Sales personnel to improve prospect close rates and reduce sales cycle time
  • Work with management, Sales Directors and Channel Managers to develop training goals for each business unit and each sales territory
  • Schedule and organize training events and other training initiatives
  • Develop basic and advanced training programs to provide continuous skill enhancement using both traditional and non-traditional training forums
  • Develop a certification program to identify, track and promote wide participation in sales training opportunities and adoption of professional selling techniques in daily sales activities
  • Conduct audits to measure adoption and effectiveness of professional selling techniques prescribed in the training
  • Participate in regular, ongoing communications to 3D Systems employees and channel partner personnel to motivate, encourage and expand the use of professional selling skills
  • Significant travel required

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required
  • Professional Sales and Selling Skills training a plus


  • Four years of direct business-to-business selling experience, preferably in capital equipment with proven track record of success
  • Two years training experience, preferably sales training

  • Exceptional communication skills (written, presentation and verbal)
  • Ability to craft differentiated solutions in competitive sales environment
  • Ambitious and optimistic personality with strong motivational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate Sales “credibility” with experienced, successful salespeople
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to plan daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and activities with limited supervision
  • Passion for developing other peoples’ skills and abilities
