3D Systems attended EuroMold this week, one of the largest trade fair conferences for design, moldmaking, and technology. The concept for EuroMold according to their website is “A unique fair concept that closes the gap between industrial designers, product developers, producers, suppliers, and end-users.”

NAMII, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, awarded on August 16, 2012, and driven by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining, announced that its Governance Board and Technical Advisory Board met to make appointments to its Executive Committee. 3D printing has come a long way. In the 1990s, 3D printing was reserved for prototypes, toys and little gadgets. Though that was remarkable for its time, things have changed a little bit. Thanks to Rapidform, a 3D scanning company that we acquired last month, we can produce buildings and people by using a scanning device.
