3D Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: TDSC) today announced that Vantico exercised its option to return to 3D Systems 1.55 million shares of 3D Systems common stock to satisfy the terms of the $22 million settlement executed on March 19, 2002. Both parties are now free to develop, test, directly introduce, market and supply stereolithography (SL) materials, including related style files, to the marketplace.
“We are pleased to bring this matter to a close on schedule,” stated Brian K. Service, 3D Systems’ president and chief executive officer. “We are now free to aggressively market our own line of Accura™ SL materials to our customer base.
“Since our acquisition of RPC Ltd. in September 2001, RPC has successfully increased production capacity to meet our customer needs while maintaining high levels of quality. We look forward to further expanding the types of materials we offer to meet the growing needs of the marketplace,” Service said.
