VALENCIA, Calif., Apr. 23, 2002 -
3D Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: TDSC) today announced the introduction of its new Accura™ material product line, which comprises a variety of proprietary material classes for its SLA®, SLS® and multi-jet modeling (MJM) suite of products.
First to be introduced under the Accura brand are materials for stereolithography (SL). The group consists of accuGen™ material for general purpose use and accuDur™ material for durable parts.
“We are excited to offer our customers the new Accura material line,” said Grant Flaharty, executive vice president of worldwide business operations. “The company’s acquisition of RPC Ltd. set the stage for our new materials strategy and has enabled us to offer our customers a full range of SL materials with comparable or improved properties.”
All future materials developed by 3D Systems will fall under the Accura name, including materials for the SLS and MJM product lines. The company already has begun marketing its powder materials accordingly for the SLS product line.
“We will be expanding the Accura SL materials line this year to include flexible and clear materials,” Flaharty said.
“In addition, we are continuing to expand our product and service portfolio to provide our customers a ‘total solution’ in solid imaging. We are able to offer value-added solutions because of our unique combination of materials, hardware, software, customer support and process solutions – all to the benefit of our customers and their individual applications.”
