Rock Hill, South Carolina, Jan. 17, 2007 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D Printing, Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, held today the grand opening ceremony for its new global headquarters and research and development facility in Waterford Business Park, Rock Hill, S.C.

The ceremony for the business community, government officials and members of the media kicked off four days of grand opening events that will bring customers, investors and partners from around the world.

3D Systems has built an 80,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility on 24 acres in Waterford Business Park to combine its headquarters and research and development facilities. The company moved to Rock Hill, S.C., just 25 miles south of Charlotte, N.C., from Valencia, Calif., and Grand Junction, Colo., to be closer to its customers, to create an infrastructure to support long-term R&D growth, and to consolidate its operations into a world-class work environment. The new global headquarters was designed by 3D Systems to improve communication with future and existing customers, attract new partners and provide a state-of-the-art facility for employees.

About one half of the new building’s square footage is dedicated to high-tech R&D laboratories as well as an 18,000-square-foot Rapid Manufacturing Center (RMC) featuring 3D Systems’ comprehensive portfolio of Rapid Prototyping, Manufacturing and 3-D Printing solutions. The Rapid Manufacturing Center, enclosed in floor-to-ceiling glass, shows visitors how the company’s 3-D Printing, SLA® (stereolithography) and SLS® (selective laser sintering) systems are used to solve everyday customer design and manufacturing challenges. The RMC is surrounded by displays, photographs, testimonials and sample parts from customers who have advanced their design and manufacturing processes through 3D Systems’ technologies. In partnership with York Technical College’s 3D Systems University, future and existing customers can learn how to improve their bottom lines with 3D Systems’ portfolio of systems and solutions that transform the way companies design, develop and manufacture their products.

“We are excited to share our innovative and inspiring new home with our friends and partners,” said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems’ president and chief executive officer. “I am deeply grateful to all who have supported us during this challenging year as we journeyed across the U.S. into this incredible facility. It is an absolute pleasure to share the opening of our new facility with all of our friends, customers, suppliers, investors and community leaders as it represents the conclusion of a giant leap for 3D Systems toward positioning our business and organizational infrastructure for sustained and profitable growth.”
