VALENCIA, Calif., May. 10, 2005 - 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D printing, prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced today at the RP&M show in Dearborn, Michigan, a new flame retardant material, DuraForm® FR Plastic, for exclusive use in its new Sinterstation® Pro SLS® system. DuraForm FR Plastic, which is the first LS material to be packaged specifically for the Sinterstation Pro system, is expected to be available in the third quarter.

“Working closely with lead end-users, we have developed a flame retardant material that passes strict aerospace requirements,” said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems’ president and chief executive officer. “DuraForm FR Plastic has passed FAA and airline burn, smoke and toxicity tests, which opens the door for aerospace manufacturers and customers in other industries to produce end-use parts for a variety of applications directly in our SLS systems.”

While DuraForm FR Plastic has excellent flame retardant characteristics, it retains the outstanding processing characteristics and toughness of the Company’s DuraForm PA material, which is used in a wide variety of demanding prototyping and manufacturing applications.

“We decided to package DuraForm FR Plastic for the Sinterstation Pro system because we believe that it provides manufacturers with the throughput, process control, consistent quality assurance and automation to economically produce end-use parts to exacting specifications,” concluded Reichental.
