VALENCIA, Calif., May 14, 2002 - 3D Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: TDSC) today announced that Align Technology Inc. has renewed its exclusive resin supply agreement. The agreement spans the next 18 months and is valued at a minimum of $2.5 million.

Align’s hardware volume purchase agreement (announced in May 2001) remains in place.

“3D Systems has been a very good partner, working with us to significantly decrease our manufacturing costs and improve our productivity,” said Len Hedge, Align’s senior vice president of operations. “This new contract shows our continued confidence in 3D Systems’ ability to perform in this very demanding digital manufacturing environment.”

Align Technology pioneered mass customized manufacturing using multiple SLA® 7000 systems running 24 hours a day at its Santa Clara, Calif., facility. The systems produce highly accurate custom molds for thermoforming its clear Invisalign® orthodontic appliances.

“3D Systems continues to develop digital manufacturing and introduce it to new market segments,” said Gordon Moore, 3D Systems’ vice president and general manager for the Americas. “We have learned a lot about manufacturing requirements through our close relationship with Align and aim to revolutionize the way products are manufactured by making on-demand manufacturing a reality. Align’s leadership in digital manufacturing is undeniable, and our goal is to bring that success into other markets.”
