VALENCIA, Calif., Sep. 9, 2004 -
3D Systems Corp. (Nasdaq:TDSC) announced today the availability of four new VisiJet® color materials for the InVision™ 3-D printer: red, blue, black and gray.
“Expanding the portfolio of our VisiJet 3-D printing materials with four new color options provides our customers with the flexibility to design, print and communicate their concept models quickly and efficiently in a variety of colors,” said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems’ president and chief executive officer. “Now, InVision 3-D printer customers can print their 3-dimensional models in their color of choice and optimize the communication of their design.
“VisiJet colored parts enable designers, engineers and marketers to inspect fine-featured detailed parts having a degree of accuracy and surface finish produced only on our InVision 3-D printer,” continued Reichental. “Because colors accentuate and heighten the sharp detailed definition of our 3-D printed parts, users can now simulate, view and communicate their concepts in a more realistic end-use part finish. The color choices we are introducing today were selected based on extensive collaboration with a cross-section of leading users and represent a significant percentage of prototype and end-use parts produced today.
“We are pleased to deliver this enhanced 3-D printing functionality to our customers. We believe that the availability of expanded color materials functionality enables our customers to expand the range of 3-D printing applications,” concluded Reichental.
The new VisiJet material color options are available immediately for the InVision 3-D printer. VisiJet model materials for the InVision HR (High Resolution) 3-D printer continue to be available in dark blue.
