About 3D Systems Culinary Technology
The original technology in this space was developed by Kyle von Hasseln of The Sugar Lab in 2012. The Sugar Lab quickly joined with 3D Systems, and by 2013, was offering 3D design and print services via the 3D Systems Culinary Lab to chefs in Los Angeles, California.
As the Culinary Technology Director at 3D Systems, Kyle sought to bring this technology to the professional culinary market. The Brill 3D Culinary Printer was developed over the course of a multi-year partnership with Brill, Inc. (a global bakery products manufacturer, who has inspired creativity and defined special occasions since 1928 with technical expertise, superior products, and excellent customer care). Together Brill, Inc., and 3D Systems pioneered significant innovation in MultiJet Printing (MJP) and ColorJet Printing (CJP) to develop this safe, reliable, precise, culinary printing technology.
Brill, Inc. is a leader in bakery ingredients and products serving retail bakeries and foodservice operators across North America. We have been inspiring creativity and defining special occasions since 1928 with ready-to-use icings, glazes, toppings, cakes, cookies and muffins. No matter how our business grows, one thing remains the same: a deep commitment to customer care, exceptional technical expertise and rigorous standards of excellence. Our promise is to deliver fresh ideas and superior formulations that help our customers create a one-of-a-kind bakery experience.
