ROCK HILL, South Carolina, May 17, 20113D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC) announced today that it plans to host the new sensation in 3D performance art, blablabLAB, at the Bay Area Maker Faire on May 21st–22nd, 2011, in the Show Barn at the San Mateo County Fair Grounds.

blablabLAB became an instant YouTube and engadget hit after posting their “be your own souvenir” video. Earlier this year they took over one of the busiest streets in Barcelona, digitally snapped passersby posing as mimics of street statues and instantly printed the miniature statuettes. In true “maker” tradition, blablabLAB hacked an Xbox Kinect, linked it to an affordable BFB RapMan™ 3D printer and brought the essence of 3D content-to-print to life. 3D Systems invites all Maker Faire visitors to participate in celebrating making street art by becoming their own souvenir.

“We are delighted to bring blablabLAB to Maker Faire and enable all participants to express themselves in 3D,” said Cathy Lewis, Vice President of Global Marketing, 3D Systems. “Affordable, easy to use content-to-print solutions democratize craftsmanship for „makers? and consumers alike. This weekend, we invite everyone to become their own souvenir!”
