Modifications intended to increase the ARTHRO Mentor’s performance and enhance user experience.

Cleveland, OH: Since adding the Arthroscopic simulator to the Simbionix product line in early 2012, the R&D department has been working on various hardware and software modifications to increase the ARTHRO Mentor™'s performance and enhance user experience.

The ARTHRO Mentor VR arthroscopic simulator provides an unlimited resource of cases and tasks for hands-on arthroscopy training in a safe and controlled environment.

One of the major improvements to this Industry leading advanced simulator is enabling the ARTHRO Mentor's customers to manage the simulator using MentorLearn™.  MentorLearn is the company's web-based multidisciplinary simulator curricula management system.

MentorLearn online provides the optimal solution to manage training and educational needs for the Simbionix line of simulators.

ARTHRO Mentor with MentorLearn provides access from a remote location 24 hours-a-day 7 days-a-week, with an option to add didactic materials and the ability to connect and manage other Simbionix products.

Arthroscopic surgery has revolutionized the treatment of joint injuries.

These surgical techniques require a high level of skill which may take years of training using traditional methods.

The Simbionix ARTHRO Mentor is the only product on the market to deliver both a full shoulder training curricula (including basic skills, diagnostics and procedures), as well as a full curriculum for knee procedures.

The product's virtual reality capabilities combined with tactile feedback are designed to improve the ability to teach and train surgeons, while achieving clinical proficiency in the safest, most efficient manner possible.

"This new version of the ARTHRO Mentor will help users make the most of their systems", said Gary Zamler, Simbionix CEO.

"It is further indication of our continued commitment to enhance and improve our products for the benefit of our global users."
