The 2022 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting took place in Chicago, IL where the 3D Systems Healthcare Solutions team of experts shared our full spectrum of technologies and services showcasing how we help manufacturers and surgeons personalize patient-specific outcomes through additive manufacturing. The teams enjoyed conversations and meetings with key surgeons in the industry, while welcoming new strategic partnership Enhatch and teaming up with Kumovis to offer 3D printing in PEEK.
Scaling Personalized Medical Device Delivery with Partner Enhatch
During the AAOS event, we announced our strategic partnership with Enhatch, the first company to market an ecosystem of surgical technologies driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics capabilities to optimize patient-specific medical device workflows. At 3D Systems, we engage with medical device manufacturers and hospitals to offer our VSP® surgical planning solutions to personalize surgery and help improve patient outcomes. By joining forces, we can deliver a more complete, optimized, automated, compliant, and scalable solution for delivering patient-specific medical devices.
Expansion of Healthcare Applications Portfolio with Acquisition of Kumovis
By teaming up with Kumovis, we had the opportunity to showcase the R1 extrusion printing technology specifically developed for precision printing of medical-grade, high-performance polymers such as PEEK (polyether ether ketone). Adding the Kumovis’ materials to our extensive polymer printing healthcare portfolio allows us to expand our offering for medical devices and point of care indications including: craniomaxillofacial applications, bone plates for spinal cages, and more.
