Ground-breaking Innovations Introduced
3D Systems is pleased to announce we showcased several new product innovations at Formnext 2023, - including Accura® AMX High Temp 300C, SLS 300, a new professional service for C-103, and the DMP Flex 350 Triple. These technologies are engineered to enable the efficient production of high-quality end-use parts in a breadth of industries including automotive, semiconductor, consumer goods, space, energy, and medical devices.

New Direct Metal Printing Initiatives
Attendees were able to take a look at the DMP Flex 350 Triple 3D printer, a compact, three-laser system includes the company’s best-in-class vacuum chamber design and extends the signature Removable Print Module (RPM) concept by supporting two distinct RPM modules with different build volumes.
Also on site was a thruster nozzle printed in C-103, a Niobium-alloy classified as a refractory material that is resistant to decomposition by heat, pressure, or chemical attack and thus retains its strength and form at high temperatures. 3D Systems’ DMP vacuum technology is uniquely suited for processing C-103 by ensuring a very low-oxygen environment which helps preserve the material’s properties since the material properties are very sensitive to O2 exposure.
Live Printing and Milling on our EXT 1070 Titan Printer
Attendees were able to stop by and see what was happening inside our EXT 1070 Titan printer and learn more about how hybrid manufacturing allows us to shorten lead times and reduce per part costs!
The New SLS 300 and Powder Recycling Station (PRS)
Attendees got the opportunity to see first-hand our SLS 300 and the Powder Recycling Station (PRS)! This unit works in tandem with the SLS 300 printer to automatically recycle unused powder currently in the system and mix it with fresh material. Robert Kniola shows us how to easily reuse powder from previous prints and fully use all the material to maximize their investment while lowering production costs. Our team is focused on sharing the productivity and user-friendliness of our latest additive manufacturing technologies.
Possibilities with 3D Printing Eggshell Molds
We were able to share more about the possibilities with 3D printing eggshell molds, like the Figure 4 Eggshell workflow, with attendees during Formnext.
When conventional manufacturing methods can’t meet the timelines of consumer tech projects and there's no option to sacrifice budget for expensive tooling, using eggshell molds to make silicone parts for testing and end-use validation is a fast and cost-effective alternative.
